Information technology isn't that bad!

Ok, setting aside the lack of audio/video call features, I really adopt Google chat over Google hangouts for several reasons. (1) there's dark style, (2) the interface is polish, (3) you tin react to messages with emojis, (four) I can actually see anybody's profile pictures.

Is it ripping off discord a bit? Yeah, simply I don't mind. The only downside for me is that you tin can't switch betwixt accounts easily, or see all your contacts (unless you have an open chat with them). But overall it works fine, and it feels much better than hangouts.

Hangouts has been going downhill for a while (like mentioned earlier, I can barely come across anyone's profile pics + no night mode). And the calls in hangouts never had good connectivity. I know this wasn't a "me" problem because my friends as well had similar issues. And then overall, I definitely recommend Google Conversation as a replacement for Hangouts, specially if you by and large text!

Disappointing after Hangouts

Google Chat added the ability to have rooms where specific topic threads can exist created. That's really nice and a feature nosotros were hoping for coming from Hangouts.
